Is your vision loss affecting your independence, safety and mobility? If so, you might benefit from vision loss rehabilitation therapy.
To get started, speak to your ophthalmologist, optometrist or other health care professional. They understand your vision loss and can help decide whether, and when, rehabilitation therapy may be right for you – and they can refer you to us through a quick and
secure online referral form.
Once your health care professional makes the referral, we will review the information provided and contact you by phone within 10 business days to discuss your needs and goals, and work with you to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan.
Your rehabilitation plan may include a
range of services depending on your needs and goals. These services may be delivered over a series of appointments in your home or community, your workplace, over the phone, online or at one of our 24 Vision Loss Rehabilitation Ontario centres.
In Ontario, Blind Low Vision (BLV) services for infants and preschoolers with vision loss are available through regional Children’s Treatment Centres. CNIB is an importation partner with the BLV program.
